Hello, beauties! TGIF
I'm back this week with another clay mask recipe that's simple enough to whip up this weekend for a special refreshing antioxidant-rich exfoliation treatment. Remember, exfoliation is an essential part of a balanced skincare practice, and that's what we're doing here. Exfoliating once or twice a week increases circulation in the skin giving your complexion a healthy, brighter appearance. It also promotes the shedding of dead skin cells, which aids in absorbing our skincare products. Yay!!
This week we're mixing our clay mask powder with chilled Green Tea. High in antioxidants and powerful at fighting free radicals & inflammation, responsible for what we often consider "bad skin."
You can benefit from adding Green Tea to your diet daily and using it in your natural skincare rituals. Watch this IGTV to learn more about how green tea can be part of your realistic beauty practice.
Always using a non-metal bowl and spoon when mixing clay masks, blend:
⭒ 1/2 tsp or one heaping wood skincare spoon of Skin Boost Clay Mask or Skin Detox Clay Mask depending on your skin type
⭒ 1 dab of Honey
⭒ Add enough Chilled Green Tea to make a paste, begin with just 1/2 tsp to start, adding more clay or Green Tea until you get a rich, thick consistency.
⭒ Apply your fresh mask to clean, dry skin, then sit back and relax for 5 to 15 minutes, depending on how sensitive your skin is
⭒ When you're ready, rinse well with warm water, making sure you've removed all your clay mask and follow up with the rest of your skincare practice, toner, serum, and a gentle facial massage with your favorite moisturizing face oil
Important to note!!
Be sure to discard any leftover clay mask, blending a new, fresh clay mask each week.
Just like always, I invite you to exfoliate after sunset, giving your skin several hours before being exposed to sunlight the next day, and on these sweltering, sunny, active days, do not forget your sunscreen!
xo,
Michelle
