Vegan vs Cruelty-Free, it's good to be clear about the difference.
VEGAN is defined as using or containing no animal products, which includes byproducts such as beeswax, honey, powdered milks, etc.
CRUELTY FREE is a term used mostly in cosmetics or other commercial products and refers to them being manufactured or developed by methods that do not involve any testing or experimentation on animals.
Our Cruelty-Free Promise
Since the very beginning it’s been our promise to have no part in animal testing, nor do we purchase from suppliers who test on animals. You’ll find most of our products contain plant and mineral based ingredients, with the exception of beeswax, honey and carmine which are animal derived. We believe that since we are creating with ingredients that have been used safely for centuries in food and cosmetics, further testing is not required.
To our Vegan customers: We do have many vegan products in our beauty and body line and we clearly mark them VEGAN because we love an educated customer and want to make it simple for you.
