Face Mask Friday: Matcha Green Tea Clay Mask

Weekend Facial: Matcha Green Tea Clay Mask
This is a mask you'll want to try right away! Clay masks are a fun and creative way to make sure we exfoliate skin weekly. And although you can certainly multitask by exfoliating while doing chores around the house this weekend, I highly recommend making it a part of your selfcare timeout. Choose a playlist you love, set your phone to do not disturb, and pull out all your selfcare goodies and treat-yo-self.
Exfoliation is an essential part of a balanced skincare practice and that's what we're doing here. Exfoliating once or twice a week, increases circulation in the skin giving you a healthy brighter appearance, and promotes the shedding of dead skin cells, which aids in the absorption of our skincare products.
Matcha is high in antioxidants and powerful at fighting inflammation. You can benefit by both adding it to your diet daily and using it in your natural skin care rituals. Watch this IGTV to learn more about how green tea can be part of your natural beauty practice.
I invite you to choose to exfoliate after sunset, giving your skin several hours before being exposed to sunlight the next day and don't forget the sunscreen!
Using a non-metal bowl and spoon, blend:
⭒ 1/2 tsp Matcha Green Tea
⭒ 1/2 tsp Skin Boost Clay Mask
⭒ 1 dab of Honey
⭒ Add enough Chilled Green Tea to make a paste
⭒ Apply mask to clean dry skin, then sit back and relax for 5 to 15 minutes
⭒ Rinse well with warm water, making sure you've removed all your clay mask
⭒ Follow up with the rest of your skincare practice, toner, serum, and a gentle facial massage with your favorite moisturizing face oil.

If you make time for selfcare this weekend be sure you snap a pic to post on Instagram or Facebook, sometimes we get off track and don't make time to fill our  cup and our posts become reminders of things we've made time for and how that made us feel. Like flipping through the pages of a photo album.
And tag us if you prioritize and document your weekend selfcare practices! Your posts inspire me!
xoxo,
