Face Mask Friday: Hydrating Cucumber Clay Mask

Face Mask Friday: Hydrating Cucumber Clay Mask

Thirsty skin needs to be hydrated on a cellular level from both the inside and out! Weekends are for facials... actually wanna know a secret? Truth is any day is good for a facial. Taking a little extra time to pamper our skin, beyond our daily skincare practices can be a much needed timeout. Today I'm sharing a hydrating face mask recipe here on the blog. You can pick up our star ingredient next time you head to grocery store or farmers market or if you've already got it in the fridge, you can try it tonight!

What do you need? A non-metal bowl and spoon, your Skin Boost or Skin Detox Clay Mask, or both, a cucumber, a peeler, a blender and a dab of honey.

As always, I invite you to choose to exfoliate after sunset, giving your skin several hours before being exposed to sunlight the next day and don't forget the sunscreen!

Hydrating cucumber mask ingredients

Using a non-metal bowl and spoon, blend:

⭒ 1 tsp fresh cucumber puree (I suggest peeling 1/3 of a cucumber and blending in your blender until smooth and frothy)
⭒ 1 tsp Skin Boost Clay Mask (Detox Mask maybe substituted)
⭒ 1 dab of Honey
⭒ Blend to make a thick paste, add more clay or liquid to get the consistency the way you like it.
⭒ Apply mask to clean dry skin, then sit back and relax for 5 to 15 minutes
⭒ Rinse well with warm water, making sure you've removed all your clay mask
⭒ Follow up with the rest of your skincare practice, toner, serum, and a gentle facial massage with your favorite moisturizing face oil.

Matcha Green Tea Mask
If you make time for selfcare this weekend be sure you snap a pic to post on Instagram or Facebook, sometimes we get off track and don't make time to fill our  cup and our posts become reminders of things we've made time for and how that made us feel. Like flipping through the pages of a photo album.
And tag us if you prioritize and document your weekend selfcare practices! Your posts inspire me!
